Friday 1.9:

10am: Intrigued by all the recent stories of mountain lion sightings along the Wasatch Front? There’s a free exhibition at the Swaner Nature Preserve in Park City–your kiddos can touch the teeth and pelt on a puma. Free admission.

10:30am: Library Storytime-free admission, crafts and activities.

4:00pm: “No Girls Allowed” Adventurous fun for boys, Riverton Library

7:00pm: Utah Grizzlies vs. Stockton Thunder-Maverick Center $12-35

7:00pm: Walking With Dinosaurs-Energy Solutions Arena $27.50-45.00

7:30pm: Val Browning Center 50th Anniversary Celebration, free concert and events-Weber State University

All Day: Strayboots Interactive Scavenger Hunt: pick from 3 downtown SLC locations or an Ogden one. Challenges, games and questions. $10.00

9:30am: Snowshoe Stomp 5K and Kid’s 5K at Mountain Dell Park, Parley’s Canyon. $15.00-35.00

9:30am: PreSchool Puppet Time, Brigham City Fine Arts Center, $1

10:15am: Free Crafting Time: Salt Art Mittens at the Calvin Smith Library in SLC

11:00am: A “Frozen” Magic Show: Kearns Library, free admission

12:00pm: Brian Head Triple Crown Rail Jam-skiers and snowboarders compete. $25-60.00

12:00pm: Brickyard Wellness Community New Year’s Celebration-holistic health and wellness fair, free admission.

2:00pm: Family Art Saturday, Utah Museum of Contemporary Art-create a pop art collage with your photos, old photos and more. The events is free, but there is a suggested $5.00 donation per family.

7:00pm: BYU Men’s Basketball, Marriott Center Provo-$8-20.00

7:00pm: Utah State Men’s Basketball-Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, Logan. $15-17.00
