Singer Pete Burns From Dead Or Alive Has Passed Away 1959-2016

Well, crap. I loved this man! Pete Burns, the lead singer for Dead or Alive just passed away after suffering a “major cardiac arrest” at the age of 57 at his home in London.

A  statement from his management team said: “It is with the greatest sadness that we have to break the tragic news that out beloved Pete Burns of (Dead or Alive), died suddenly yesterday of a massive cardiac arrest.
“All of his family and friends are devastated by the loss of our special star.
“He was a true visionary, a beautiful talented soul, and he will be missed by all who loved and appreciated everything he was and all of the wonderful memories he has left us with.” Dead or Alive rose to fame from Liverpool, England with their first #1 hit “You Spin Me (Right Round)” in 1984. Pete was also a huge plastic surgery fan, boasting once he’d has over 300 plastic surgery procedures and said, “The number of surgeries I’ve had is probably 300. I hope when I’m 80 and I get to heaven God doesn’t recognise me.”
My favorite song from Dead or Alive is “Brand New Lover,” I’m going to put my headphones on and listen to his lovely voice in homage. Rest in peace, Pete.
