By now you’ve probably heard of the Netflix documentary Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness.
The documentary centers around Joe Exotic, who is currently in prison, and seeking a $94 million lawsuit.
Joe Exotic a.k.a Joseph Maldonado-Passage claims $73,840,000 is for the loss of personal property; 18 years of research; caring for 200 generic tigers and cross-breeds 365 days a year with a boarding rate of $60 per day per animal.
Maldonado-Passage says that $15 million is a false arrest, false imprisonment, selective enforcement and the death of his mother, Shirley.
The Tiger King says his civil rights have been violated. He says the government “entrapped” him by putting a tiger on the endangered species list and then filling charges against Maldonado-Passage for promoting their “animal rights agenda.”
