James Hetfield is trying to give back. The Metallica rocker recently made a surprise visit to a pair of wounded Ukrainian soldiers. Limbs for Liberty introduced Hetfield to the two soldiers, a local non-profit organization that supports Ukrainians injured during the war.

Hetfield met the group’s co-founder by chance in the hospital’s car park, and she arranged the visit. She later told reporters that Hetfield “wished the men luck and get better soon.” After the visit, he also left a note on her car saying: “You made my day.”
