Miley Cyrus has been using the music of The Eagles to heal from her grandmother’s death. Cyrus’ grandmother, who she affectionately called “Mammie” died last month, and “Take It To The Limit” was the song that her grandmother and mother would sing on the way to school every day.
“The Eagles have been a big inspiration for me and it’s about giving that respect to the people that have passed down music that made us who we are,” Miley said in a recent interview with the BBC.
Cyrus says she stopped everything she was doing to be by her family’s side when she heard the news of her grandmother’s death.
“I ran down the hill with literally one half of my face on,” she added. “I’ve never got in my car and left so fast in my entire life and just went and spent the week healing with my mom.”
