The Hardest Working and Laziest Cities in America

 This is a hard-working country, so if you want to stand out, you’ve got to get even MORE extreme.

Take even fewer of your vacation days!  Only see your family on nonconsecutive weekends!  Never sleep! A new study ranked the 116 biggest cities in the country from the hardest working to the laziest.  The study is based on things like average hours of work per week, commute times, the percentage of people with multiple jobs, and people’s leisure time.

Here are the 10 hardest working cities:

  1. San Francisco
  2. Fremont, California
  3. Jersey City, New Jersey
  4. Washington, D.C.
  5. New York City
  6. Oakland, California
  7. Boston
  8. Aurora, Colorado
  9. Newark, New Jersey
  10. Chicago

And here are the 10 cities where people work the least hard:

  1. Columbia, South Carolina
  2. Charleston, West Virginia
  3. Cheyenne, Wyoming
  4. Fresno, California
  5. Lubbock, Texas
  6. Bakersfield, California
  7. Buffalo, New York
  8. Reno, Nevada
  9. Fargo, North Dakota
  10. Toledo, Ohio
